Entering the FHS Program

All FHS students take a core set of foundational courses spanning the continuum of prevention and intervention. However, students complete the FHS program through one of our three tracks: Fundamentals, Prevention Science, or Direct Service Intensive. By default, all FHS students are admitted into the Fundamentals (FUND) track and can declare the Prevention Science (PS) or Direct Service Intensive (DSI) track if they choose that option.

  • The FUND track is geared toward students interested in going directly to the workforce without field service (e.g., students who already have worked in the field).
  • The PS track prepares students for graduate studies and careers that involve prevention-focused program development and evaluation.
  • The DSI track prepares students for graduate studies and careers that involve direct delivery of interventions.
