How will my spring-term credit load be affected?

You do not have to register for these spring-term classes:

FHS 406: Sp Pr Fld Study Begin FHS 407: Sem Suprv Iss Begin
FHS 406: Sp Pr Fld Study Adv FHS 407: Sem Sprv Iss Adv

These courses will be waived. That is, the classes and credits will not appear on your transcripts and you will not need them to graduate with your FHS degree. However, please check your UO degree guide to make sure that you have 180 credits total that are required for you to graduate spring term.

For Juniors: Review your UO degree guide on DuckWeb.  Do you need those 3 credits lost due to the cancellation of FHS 406 (2 credits) and FHS 407 (1 credit) to remain eligible for financial aid or to stay on track to graduate by Spring 2021?  If so, select another 300/400 level course. It can be a core education requirement, a 2nd major or minor requirement, or an elective course that you are interested in. Please look at the schedule of classes for options and add a class to your Spring 2020 schedule.

For Seniors: Review your UO degree guide on DuckWeb.  Do you need those 3 credits lost due to the cancellation of FHS 406 (2 credits) and FHS 407 (1 credit) to graduate by Spring 2020?  If so, select another 300/400 level elective course that you are interested in and add the class to your Spring 2020 schedule.  Please look at the schedule of classes for more options, but consider courses in SOC, ES, WGS, HIST, PS and PSY.

If you do not need the credits to meet a UO requirement (i.e. getting to 180 credits total, upper division credits, residency credits, etc) per your degree guide, you do not have to do anything. If you are unsure about the number of credits that you need, please contact our academic advisors and they can help you.
